Kolbus Open House celebrates extended demonstration hall
For two days late last month Kolbus GmbH hosted nearly 250 worldwide visitors at their Winter Open House. The event gave Kai Buntemeyer, Managing Partner, the opportunity to give visitors a taster of things to come on the Kolbus stand at drupa next year. It was held in the well-known Kolbus Blue Saloon demonstration hall which itself was a focus of attention as it has been completely refurbished.
The area is now some 50% larger with an entire hall dedicated to casemaking. Four lines can be demonstrated with an area devoted to showing casemakers producing elaborate and high quality presentation boxes for the packaging industry.
The extra space has enabled the range of Kolbus binders to include two KM 600 lines, a high speed KM412 and two casing in lines. Also included in the machine line-up is an embossing press, palletizer and the full range of three knife trimmers.
Kolbus provided all of its guests with traditional Christmas fare during the open house with a typical German Christmas food market. The market was positioned just outside the demonstration hall, providing a great place to stop and meet fellow guests as well as sample great sausages, pancakes, strudel and of course gluwein!
