KOLBUS DA 260 casemaker for Charlesworth Press

A new KOLBUS DA 260 casemaker for Charlesworth Press

Charlesworth Press has undertaken a raft of new investments at its Wakefield base over the past year.

A key part of the re-equipping of the bindery department was the installation of a new KOLBUS DA 260 casemaker. This was principally to satisfy the increasing challenges of on-demand customers and production of personalised books.
Mark Gray, Managing Director of Charlesworth, has overseen this transformation, strengthening their ability to offer both litho and digital printing, and to deliver a wide range of innovative binding solutions.
The KOLBUS DA 260 casemaker was selected to deliver quality case-bound books in high volume runs right down to a single book. With a speed of up to 40 cases/minute this KOLBUS machine covers all standard size ranges and is ideal for short run work.
The KOLBUS DA 260 will automatically produce book cases, files, display cards, calendar backs and board-game boards. Essential functions, such as the turn-in stations, operate to a particularly high product standard and the separate drives considerably reduce downtime and waste. The compact footprint, single operator control and problem-free running make KOLBUS DA 260 an economical casemaker for the quality conscious binder.
Mark Gray said: “We’re really pleased with this new KOLBUS installation. The quality of the product the DA 260 produces ensures that even the shortest of run lengths are produced efficiently and with minimal waste”.https://www.charlesworth.com/
